As a Core Site Reliability Engineer, you'll play a key role in developing and maintaining a globally distributed, ultra‑low‑latency trading platform. Working directly with engineering, trading, and data teams, you will shape mission‑critical infrastructure powering high‑throughput systems at global scale.
Responsibilities For Core Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
- Infrastructure Reliability & Performance: Maintain and optimize critical trading systems, cloud infrastructure, and internal data pipelines to ensure high availability, resiliency, and performance. Support incident response and continuous improvement.
- Low‑Latency Network & Systems Management: Manage and optimize systems and networks engineered for high‑throughput and ultra‑low‑latency operation. Identify bottlenecks and drive performance enhancements across distributed environments.
- Kubernetes Engineering & Orchestration: Build, evolve, and manage Kubernetes infrastructure-including custom operators-to support large-scale, containerized workloads and smooth, reliable deployment cycles.
- Automation, CI/CD & Internal Tooling: Improve CI/CD pipelines (FluxCD, GitHub Actions) and advance automation practices through scripting and tooling built in Python, Golang, or Rust. Strengthen release reliability and infrastructure automation.
- Monitoring, Observability & Proactive Detection: Implement and refine monitoring systems (Prometheus, Grafana) to ensure deep visibility into system health. Develop proactive detection capabilities to prevent outages and degradation.
- Cross‑Team Collaboration & Technical Leadership: Partner with engineering, data, and trading teams to deliver scalable infrastructure solutions. Provide architectural insights, propose improvements, and communicate technical concepts clearly.
Requirements For Core Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
Essential
- Strong experience with Kubernetes architecture and large‑scale orchestration
- Background in systems and network administration, ideally with high‑throughput or low‑latency workloads
- Cloud experience with AWS and/or GCP
- Proficiency in Golang, Rust, or Python for automation and tooling
- Hands-on experience with Prometheus, Grafana, or similar observability solutions
- Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform or Ansible
- Experience in fintech, trading, HFT, or digital assets environments (or similar high-performance infrastructure contexts)
- Exposure to ultra‑low‑latency systems, network tuning, or performance optimization
- Strong familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, including tools such as FluxCD and GitHub Actions
- Understanding of FinOps, cloud optimization, or cost‑efficient architecture
- Experience with performance tuning in distributed or high-throughput systems
