Battery Materials Trader - Lithium
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage trading activities across battery materials markets, including lithium and other battery metals.
- Source, negotiate, and execute physical trading transactions with suppliers and customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with producers, refiners, traders, and end-users.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the company's customer and supplier network.
- Monitor market trends, pricing movements, and supply-demand dynamics to identify trading opportunities.
- Coordinate with operations, logistics, finance, and risk teams to ensure smooth trade execution.
- Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, and pricing structures with counterparties.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and risk management guidelines.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of overall working experience within commodities, metals, mining, chemicals, or related industries.
- At least 3 years of experience within the battery metals or battery materials sector.
- Proven track record in trading, business development, or commercial functions within battery materials markets.
- Strong understanding of battery metals supply chains, market dynamics, and commercial trading practices.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, and industry stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and commercial acumen.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced trading environment.
