AI Enablement Analytics - Prime Finance - T1 Investment Bank
Our client, a leading global investment bank, is looking for a VP-level technologist/strategist to join its core Prime Financing business, working directly with a senior MD to help transform how the trading desk operates. This is a high-impact role for someone who wants to sit close to the desk, shape decision-making, and bridge the gap between trading, technology, and analytics in a front-office environment.
You will join a highly visible team spanning Funding, SPL (Securities Lending) and Synthetics/Delta One, partnering closely with traders, IT and quantitative teams to modernise processes and embed smarter, more automated ways of working. The remit is broad and intellectually rich: driving process automation, enhancing analytics around inventory and portfolio management, and leveraging modern tools (including AI use cases) to improve trading outcomes. The culture rewards curiosity, communication and initiative-this is a role for someone who can understand real business problems, design solutions, and see them through, while building trusted relationships across the desk.
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with trading desks to identify inefficiencies and drive process enhancements
- Design and deliver automation and analytics to improve inventory, portfolio and trading decisions
- Act as a bridge between traders, IT, QA and quantitative teams to implement scalable solutions
- Leverage modern tools and AI technologies to enhance reporting and desk capabilities
- Own and deliver strategic projects from idea through to implementation in a front-office setting
Requirements
- Strong technical background with hands-on experience in Python and data analytics
- Experience in process automation using Claude or other open source tools, driving change within complex environments
- Front-office exposure or a strong understanding of trading desks and market dynamics
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable engaging with clients and senior stakeholders
- Curious, proactive personality with the ability to learn the business quickly and translate problems into solutions
