Position Summary:

The Vice President (VP) in Private Equity plays a critical leadership role in the investment lifecycle, from deal sourcing and due diligence to portfolio management and exit strategy. This individual will lead transaction execution, manage junior team members, and work closely with portfolio company executives to drive value creation. The VP will also contribute to fundraising efforts and strategic firm initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Investment Execution & Deal Sourcing

  • Lead deal origination efforts and maintain relationships with intermediaries, advisors, and industry executives.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities through financial modeling, market research, and competitive analysis.
  • Oversee due diligence processes including legal, financial, operational, and commercial assessments.
  • Prepare and present investment committee materials and recommendations.

Portfolio Management

  • Serve as a key point of contact for portfolio company management teams.
  • Monitor performance metrics, strategic initiatives, and financial results.
  • Support operational improvements, growth strategies, and exit planning.
  • Participate in board meetings and provide strategic guidance.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Manage and mentor Associates and Analysts, ensuring high-quality work and professional development.
  • Foster a collaborative and performance-driven team culture.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • 6-10 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, consulting, or corporate development.
  • Proven track record of leading transactions and managing investment teams.
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • High degree of integrity, professionalism, and strategic thinking.
