Vice President, Investment Banking, Frankfurt (Industrials)

About the Opportunity

A leading international investment bank is seeking a Vice President to join its European Industrials Investment Banking team in Frankfurt. The team advises a broad range of industrial and business services clients across the DACH region and wider Europe on mergers and acquisitions, strategic advisory assignments, private capital raises, and other complex corporate finance transactions.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced investment banking professional looking to play a key role in both transaction execution and client development within a highly entrepreneurial and growing platform. The role offers significant exposure to senior corporate executives, private equity sponsors, and cross-border M&A transactions across multiple industrial sub-sectors including industrial technology, transportation & logistics, chemicals, engineered products, business services, and manufacturing.

The Role

The Vice President will work closely with Managing Directors and senior leadership across Europe, taking ownership of transaction execution while supporting origination efforts throughout the DACH region and broader European Industrials franchise.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading day-to-day execution of M&A, strategic advisory and capital raising transactions.
• Managing financial analysis, valuation work, merger models and transaction materials.
• Leading the preparation of client presentations, pitch books, information memoranda and board materials.
• Coordinating due diligence workstreams and managing multiple transaction stakeholders simultaneously.
• Supporting business development initiatives through industry research, client relationship management and marketing activities.
• Managing and mentoring Analysts and Associates while maintaining the highest standards of execution.
• Participating in client meetings alongside senior bankers and developing relationships with corporate executives, entrepreneurs and financial sponsors.

Candidate Requirements

• 5-8 years of investment banking, corporate finance or M&A advisory experience.
• Strong transaction execution experience across M&A and strategic advisory mandates.
• Previous experience covering Industrials, Business Services, Chemicals, Transportation & Logistics, Capital Goods, Manufacturing or related sectors is highly desirable.
• Exceptional financial modelling, valuation and analytical capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple live transactions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with confidence interacting directly with senior clients.
• Demonstrated experience managing junior team members and transaction processes.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related discipline.
• Fluent German and English are essential.
