Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager to lead the delivery of a low-latency FX eTrading platform built in Java. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring close collaboration with developers, stakeholders, and external partners. The ideal candidate will have experience in capital markets, particularly FX trading, and a strong understanding of real-time systems and Java-based architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end project delivery of the FX eTrading platform.
• Manage a team of Java developers and coordinate with external freelancers.
• Define and maintain project plans, timelines, and deliverables.
• Ensure low-latency performance and high reliability of the trading system.
• Liaise with stakeholders across technology, trading, and operations.
• Identify and mitigate risks throughout the development lifecycle.
• Maintain clear documentation and reporting for senior leadership.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience managing technical projects in electronic trading, ideally FX.
• Strong understanding of Java, low-latency systems, and multithreaded architectures.
• Experience working with capital markets, trading platforms, or market data systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment (2 days onsite in NYC).
• Ability to lead distributed teams and freelancers effectively.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with FIX protocol, market gateways, or pricing engines.
• Background in performance tuning and latency optimization.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
