Structured Credit - Associate / Senior Associate

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Associate position within a structured credit and equity investment platform, based in our New York office. This individual will take a central role in structuring, pricing, negotiation, and financing of transactions, with a focus on transaction modelling, pricing accounting, legal and rating agency aspects.

Company Overview:

  • We are a working with a diversified financial services company with a strong presence in the structured credit and equity investment space. The team specializes in creating innovative financial solutions for our clients, leveraging deep industry expertise and a collaborative approach.

Key activities:

  • Evaluate potential investment opportunities within targeted industries, with a particular focus on structured credit transactions
  • Perform detailed cash-flow modelling, including for accounting, rating agency, tax and securitization purposes
  • Participate in the legal due diligence of transaction documentation
  • Prepare internal investment approval memos and presentations
  • Interface with internal/external tax, accounting, legal, risk and support teams
  • Independently/proactively present ideas, transaction opportunities and structuring recommendations
  • Other projects and duties as assigned

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a STEM subject or finance, economics, or related field
  • 3-6 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or investment management
  • Experience with securitization and working with rating agencies
  • Strong quantitative profile with excellent accounting/financial modeling and analytical skills supported by a high proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent organizational, communication, writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a high-performance team
  • Ability/willingness to travel when required
  • GAAP financial reporting experience/understanding preferred
  • Knowledge of operating BBG terminal and INTEX preferred
  • Experience in reviewing complex legal documentation preferred
