Risk Analyst

A Premier Commodity Trading House in Stamford, Connecticut is looking to hire an Analyst level candidate on their Risk Analytics team to sit on their trading floor as you will partner with the risk team and traders to analyze and optimize risk exposures of their products trading.

This individual will Support PnL reconciliation, whie setting risk frameworks for their team. The team is a smaller function, so the role offers high visibility and collaboration with senior management.

Role Objectives

* Partner with risk team and traders to analyze and optimize risk exposures of commodities trading.

* Support PnL reconciliation, improving accuracy and identifying mispricing errors.

* Automate data ingestion and analytics using Python and SQL, integrating multi-source market data feeds into internal trade management systems

* Managing large-scale time series datasets for transaction pricing analysis.

* Design tools for VaR modeling to derive data-driven risk insights.

* Research/backtest systematic trading strategies

Qualifications and Skills

* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

* 2 - 5 years of experience preferably in trading/commodity industry, or a related field.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong proficiency in Excel

* Business background with P&L experience
