Our client is a well-established global hedge fund with a strong presence across Singapore, London, and New York. The firm operates a highly performance-driven technology environment supporting trading, research, and core business operations, with a growing focus on building robust, scalable, and reliable infrastructure across its global offices and data centres.
Technology plays a key role in enabling the business, and the team is looking for engineers who can contribute beyond day-to-day operations - individuals who understand how infrastructure supports the broader organisation.
We Are Seeking: Network Engineer
This is a hands-on network engineering role responsible for supporting and evolving the firm's data centre and office network infrastructure, with a primary focus on the Singapore environment.
You will work across production networks, co-location infrastructure, and enterprise environments, taking ownership of delivery, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement while collaborating closely with other internal teams.
We are only considering Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure across data centres and office environments
- Support co-location infrastructure, cross-connects, and production networks
- Manage and optimise routing, switching, and firewall platforms
- Troubleshoot network issues across connectivity, performance, and reliability
- Monitor and maintain systems to ensure high availability and stability
- Participate in capacity planning, upgrades, and infrastructure improvements
- Collaborate with server, infrastructure, and support teams as needed
- Contribute to documentation and continuous improvement of network processes
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering or infrastructure roles
- Strong experience in routing and switching, with a heavy focus on BGP
- Hands-on experience with Cisco and/or Arista switching environments
- Experience managing firewalls (Fortinet / FortiGate)
- Solid understanding of data centre networking and production environments
- Exposure to co-location and cross-connect infrastructure
- Comfortable operating in hands-on, fast-paced environments
Highly Relevant Experience
- Experience in hedge funds, trading firms, or financial services environments
- Exposure to multi-region infrastructure (SG, London, New York)
- Familiarity with network monitoring and observability tools
- Basic server or systems exposure (ability to support adjacent infra where required)
- Experience with scripting or automation for operational tasks
Certifications (Nice to Have)
- CCNP / CCIE (Cisco)
- JNCIP or equivalent networking certifications
Candidate Profile
- Strong hands-on engineer with a "get things done" mindset
- Able to think beyond pure networking and understand the broader business impact
- Comfortable taking ownership of problems end-to-end
- Not purely operational - someone who can improve, optimise, and build
