Manager, Individual Tax

Our client, a boutique Private Family Office, is seeking to hire a Manager of Individual Tax based in Hunt Valley, MD. The firm specializes in tax compliance and strategic planning for high-net-worth individuals with complex investment portfolios. This role offers the chance to work closely with seasoned professionals on intricate tax matters involving hedge funds, PE/VC investments, QSBS, crypto, and multistate/offshore structures. Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation and review of individual, trust, and foundation tax filings, particularly for clients with intricate investment holdings.
• Provide guidance on transactions involving private equity, venture capital, real estate, hedge funds, and ownership in fund management entities.
• Mentor and manage team members, ensuring accountability through regular check-ins and performance tracking.
• Conduct tax research and deliver consultative insights on estate planning, philanthropic strategies, and family office structures.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services.
• Collaborate across levels to support a proactive and thoughtful approach to tax advisory.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA-track preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in tax or accounting, ideally with exposure to family office environments.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to navigate complex investment structures.
• High proficiency in Excel and tax/accounting software; meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and client service skills, with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities and delivering under tight deadlines.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and a commitment to continuous improvement.
