We Are Seeking: IT Manager
This is a hands-on, independent IT role responsible for managing and supporting the company's IT infrastructure in Chengdu.
You will act as the primary IT owner on the ground, overseeing external vendors, ensuring system reliability, and supporting day-to-day business operations. The role requires someone comfortable operating with minimal supervision, taking full ownership of IT environments in a growing setup.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee external IT vendors and service providers
- Ensure reliability, performance, and security of IT infrastructure
- Support office IT setup and ongoing infrastructure needs (hardware, network, systems)
- Troubleshoot and coordinate resolution of IT and infrastructure issues
- Maintain and improve IT processes, systems, and operational efficiency
- Oversee basic security, backup, and disaster recovery practices
- Act as the main point of contact for all IT-related matters locally
Requirements
- Experience in IT infrastructure, systems, or network support roles
- Proven experience working with external vendors / managed service providers
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Windows / Linux environments
- Networking fundamentals
- Cloud or hybrid infrastructure (preferred)
- Ability to operate independently and take full ownership of IT operations
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in real-world environments
- Comfortable working in fast-paced or growing organisations
- Fluent in Mandarin (mandatory) and able to communicate effectively in a local business environment
Candidate Profile
- Highly self-sufficient and hands-on - able to operate without heavy internal IT support
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability for IT systems
- Able to work closely with business stakeholders, not just technical teams
- Practical, solution-oriented, and comfortable managing vendors end-to-end
