A leading investment firm focused on digital assets and blockchain innovation is seeking a seasoned business development leader to spearhead their capital formation efforts. You will be responsible for cultivating relationships with institutional investors, driving fundraising initiatives, and overseeing the Investor Relations team. An ideal candidate should have a solid grasp of crypto markets and blockchain fundamentals to effectively represent the firm and its investment strategy.
The Head of Capital Formation will be responsible for:
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of institutional investor prospects through strategic outreach and relationship-building.
- Lead and mentor the Investor Relations team, ensuring high-quality reporting, engagement, and support for current and potential investors.
- Represent the firm externally, enhancing brand visibility and credibility through targeted initiatives and events.
- Manage travel and event budgets to support business development goals.
- Collaborate across internal teams to optimize investor onboarding and engagement processes.
- Maintain detailed records of investor interactions and progress using CRM tools.
- Analyze market trends and investor behavior to inform strategic decisions.
- Provide cross-functional leadership to support capital formation and investor engagement.
The Head of Capital Formation should have:
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
- Established network of institutional investors and industry contacts.
- Self-driven and results-oriented, with a track record of success in independent and team settings.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, investor relations, or a related role.
- Working knowledge of crypto markets and a strong interest in emerging technologies.
- Willingness to travel extensively, both domestically and internationally.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven success in converting investor interest into committed capital.
- Experience in a regulated fund environment is a strong plus.
- Role is based in the U.S. with remote work flexibility.
