Job Title: E&S Underwriter - Commercial Property (Remote)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated E&S Underwriter to join our dynamic team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while focusing on underwriting commercial property lines. As an E&S Underwriter, you will play a critical role in evaluating and underwriting complex risks, ensuring profitable growth, and maintaining strong relationships with brokers and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Risk Assessment: Evaluate and underwrite new and renewal commercial property risks, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Decision Making: Make sound underwriting decisions based on thorough analysis of risk factors, policy terms, and conditions.
• Broker Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, providing exceptional service and support to facilitate business growth.
• Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and emerging risks to make informed underwriting decisions.
• Documentation: Prepare and review underwriting documentation, including quotes, binders, and policy endorsements.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other underwriters, claims professionals, and risk control specialists to ensure comprehensive risk management.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance underwriting skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in E&S underwriting, with a focus on commercial property lines.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. Professional designations such as CPCU, ARM, or AU are preferred.
• Skills: Strong analytical, decision-making, and communication skills. Proficiency in underwriting software and tools.
• Attributes: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a remote environment.
