Our client, a respected leader in retirement solutions, is actively growing their development team to support key digital initiatives. They're looking for experienced developers with a strong background in distribution platforms-especially FireLight. Ideal candidates will bring at least 3 years of hands-on development experience and a passion for building scalable, user-friendly solutions in the insurance and financial services space.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain applications that support life insurance and annuity product workflows.
- Integrate and configure FireLight platform features to meet business and client requirements.
- Collaborate with business analysts and product owners to translate insurance product specifications into digital solutions.
- Build and optimize user interfaces for agent and client-facing distribution platforms.
- Ensure data accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards across all platform integrations.
- Develop APIs and services to connect FireLight with internal systems and third-party tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to platform performance, data flow, and user experience.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to maintain high-quality standards.
- Stay current with industry trends in insurance technology and recommend enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in software development, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
- Strong familiarity with life insurance and annuity product workflows and related business processes.
- Hands-on experience with FireLight or similar electronic application and distribution platforms.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Java, C#, or .NET.
- Experience with web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (e.g., Angular, React).
- Solid understanding of API development and integration, including RESTful services.
- Knowledge of data structures, databases, and SQL for managing insurance-related data.
- Ability to work collaboratively in Agile/Scrum environments and contribute to sprint planning and reviews.
