Business Analyst

• A fast-growing SaaS organization in the insurance and health tech space is seeking a Business Analyst to join its high-performing team. This team delivers impactful data analytics and business intelligence solutions across the business, and this role will be central to driving intelligent decision-making through data.

Role Responsibilities:

• Gather and document business requirements, translating them into functional and technical specifications.

• Analyze existing processes and data flows to identify opportunities for optimization and improved data integrity.
• Query and monitor SQL databases, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis.
• Conduct research and integrate data from multiple sources to assess system performance and operational metrics.
• Execute scenario-based analyses, such as evaluating transaction volume impact or resolving data matching issues.
• Create and maintain process diagrams and data flow documentation for current and future workflows.
• Propose system enhancements, including database design and workflow improvements.
• Support testing and validation of system changes to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Act as liaison between business units, technical teams, and vendors for successful project delivery.
• Assist with change management, user documentation, and training.
• Monitor system performance and recommend improvements for scalability and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with B2B database environments
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
• Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with business process modeling and requirements documentation
• Familiarity with cloud-based tools and monitoring platforms (e.g., AWS, CloudWatch, S3)
• Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences
• Understanding of SDLC and project management methodologies

Preferred Skills:

• Advanced degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
• Experience in regulated environments (HIPAA, PCI)
• Background in SaaS or insurance-related industries
