Job Description:

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced AVP of Actuarial - Commercial Property. This role is pivotal in driving their commercial property pricing strategies and ensuring their continued success in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of pricing strategies for commercial property insurance products.
• Analyze and interpret complex data to inform pricing decisions and optimize profitability.
• Collaborate with underwriting, finance, and other departments to ensure alignment of pricing strategies with business objectives.
• Provide expert actuarial advice and support to senior management and other stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop junior actuarial staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks to ensure our pricing strategies remain competitive and compliant.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of actuarial experience, with a focus on commercial property pricing preferred; experience in commercial lines pricing will also be considered.
• ACAS (Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society) or FCAS (Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society) designation required.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful pricing strategies.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in actuarial software and tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Leadership experience and the ability to mentor and develop junior staff.
