Job Description: The Vice President / Director will focus on sell-side mandates, handling multiple mandates at a time. The role involves all aspects of the deal process, from origination to execution. The candidate should be a specialist banker who is extremely knowledgeable in the healthcare and life sciences space.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, including corporations, private equity firms, and financial sponsors.
- Drive business development initiatives, including identifying and pursuing new opportunities, developing pitches, and leading presentations.
- Manage and execute complex transactions such as mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital raising, and debt and equity financing, ensuring the highest level of client service and transaction success.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior investment banking team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and professional development.
- Contribute to the firm's overall strategy and vision, ensuring alignment with the broader goals of the organization.
- Experience in a similar role, preferably from a direct competitor.
- Strong relationships with PE/VC funds and fundraising experience.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in investment banking, with a proven track record of success in originating and executing complex transactions.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
- Exceptional analytical, financial modeling, and valuation skills.
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and senior management.
- Strong emphasis on company culture and collaboration.
- Fully remote with good flexibility and protected weekends.
