A large insurance company is looking to add a Technical Accounting & Policy Manager to their growing team! Ideally looking for a PA or CPA to work on a hybrid schedule out of their Charlotte, NC or Syracuse, NY office. Please apply if interested in learning more!
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the company's accounting and financial reporting functions and initiatives
- Work to improve accounting policies, processes and controls, serving as a key technical resource on complex accounting transactions and implementing new accounting standards and updates
- Lead a variety of accounting & reporting initiatives
- Lead implementation of new and emerging policy developments and disclosure standards for all accounting bases (US GAAP & STAT)
- Proactively manage relationships with external auditors
Qualifications
- CPA (preferred)
- 10+ years of experience
- Knowledge of Statutory accounting theory, controls and reporting
- 5+ years technical knowledge of US GAAP accounting theory, controls and reporting
