Our esteemed client, a trailblazer in market-making and technology, is currently in search of a skilled Software Engineering Lead to join their team in London. This pivotal role involves contributing to high-impact projects that significantly contribute to company revenue and propel the organisation forward. Renowned for their excellence in trading, our client is specifically looking for an individual proficient in C++ coding, coupled with a demonstrated ability and track record in leading a compact Software Engineering team.
The Software Engineering Lead will play a crucial role in both facilitating and actively participating in the implementation and design of the execution stack architecture. A primary focus will be on ensuring swift resolutions to production issues as they arise. Responsibilities also include coordinating with the team and squad coaches to organize new initiatives, integrate trading venues, and implement upgrades to existing exchanges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementing and integrating low-level components, interacting with the network, and working with the underlying FPGA stack.
- Coordinating work with the team to organise new initiatives, integrate trading venues, and implement upgrades to existing exchanges.
- Facilitating and actively participating in the implementation and design of the architecture for the execution stack.
- Demonstrating ownership and responsibility for the interface execution layer through to production.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in writing exchange connectivity software.
- Leadership experience in leading a small team with a track record of delivering small to medium-sized projects in Market Making.
- Proficiency in modern C++, preferably on Linux/Unix.
- Appreciation for clean, readable, and testable code.
- Previous experience with exchange protocols for order routing and market data.
- Understanding of computer architecture and its impact on code performance.
Compensation: ยฃ150000 base + variable bonus (up to ยฃ210000 total compensation)
