Selby Jennings is working with a elite FinTech stealth mode startup that is looking to be a combination of Stripe and Visa for capital markets. They work in the prime brokerage space building the systems that will connect all networks / exchanges / brokers into one unified platform that will dominate the market.
They raised series A funding of $50 million and are backed by Citadel Securities and Coinbase Ventures. Despite being in the stealth mode they are making massive waves already and their current valuation is over $700 million.
Currently have a a team of 120 people and distributed engineering team of about 40 people. Most of their code is written in Python or Java and runs on AWS. They focus on simplicity in code and infrastructure in order to support these core goals:
They are looking for both strong Quantitative Developers and Software Engineers who would be working on business critical projects!
What you might build
- Connectivity to help us ingest market data and trading activity
- Data pipelines to allow easy analysis of this data
- Real-time risk monitoring systems
- Systems to move large amounts of money automatically
- Tools to help our operations team work with clients
- Tools and infrastructure to help us do all this faster
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related field
- Must have previous financial services OR FinTech startup experiences
- Ability to work autonomously in a distributed team
- Ability to write production-grade (robust and maintainable) code
- Located in a continental US time zone
- Strong in Python or Java
Nice to have, but not required
- Experience leading teams and driving projects
- Experience writing systems on, or tooling for, AWS
- Experience working at an early-to-medium-stage tech startup
- Experience integrating with 3rd-party APIs
- Experience with money-movement and accounting systems
- Experience with standard tooling for big data (much larger than a laptop, much smaller than Google)
