I am currently partnering with a premier global macro Hedge Fund in the Connecticut area that is looking to expand upon its centralized quantitative research team. They are actively looking for a highly skilled Quantitative Analyst that will work alongside other researchers and developers to improve upon their portfolio construction and optimization processes and models for maximizing their performance across macro products.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain advanced quantitative models for portfolio construction and optimization, with a focus on Macro products.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of financial markets and macroeconomic trends to guide investment decisions.
- Collaborate closely with portfolio managers to design and refine strategies that maximize returns while effectively managing risk.
- Perform rigorous backtesting and scenario analysis to ensure model accuracy and robustness.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate portfolio performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations for optimization.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience researching and developing portfolio construction and optimization methods and models within the hedge fund or asset management industry.
- Preferred exposure and work experience collaborating with other researchers on mid to low frequency systematic macro investment strategies
- Proficiency in Python programming
- Experience with financial databases and data analysis tools (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, SQL).
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and independently.
- Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex quantitative concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
