Position Summary:
They are seeking an experienced Risk-focused Python Developer to join their team as they embark on a transformative project. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end development of a value interest systems in Python, supporting the trading and risk management operations. This role will involve close collaboration with various stakeholders, including the business, risk analysts, and end-users.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain a comprehensive value interest model in Python, tailored to their unique commodities trading operations.
Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
Analyse and manage market risk through the development and application of derivatives and Value at Risk (VAR) models.
Oversee the entire software development life cycle (SDLC) independently, from conceptualisation to deployment.
Create tools and reports to facilitate risk analysis and decision-making processes.
Work closely with the Head of Market Risk to assess and mitigate risk effectively.
Provide expert Python support for various data analysis and reporting requirements.

Qualifications:
Strong proficiency and demonstrated experience in Python programming is essential.
5+ years of professional experience as a Python Developer (ideally).
Experience in a Market Risk environment is highly advantageous.
Knowledge of commodities markets is desirable.
Demonstrated experience in managing the end-to-end SDLC process.
Strong communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration with non-technical stakeholders.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.

This position is based in London and requires the candidate to be on-site for at least 3 days a week.
