A small Prop-trading firm is looking to open its first US office in Summer 2024 in Miami, Fl. They're looking for C++ developers with experience in building ultra-low-latency trading systems to join on as a Founding Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Work on diverse projects, touching various code components and bringing new features into production.
- Collaborate with traders and researchers to understand and discuss requirements.
- Design, implement, test, and optimise trading algorithms, ensuring market competitiveness.
- Enhance the long-term architecture of our in-house trading system in terms of latency, accuracy, capacity, and compliance.
- Innovate work-flows by collaborating closely with Trading, Research, and Trading Intelligence.
- Manage operational aspects to deploy, monitor, and refine systems.
- Investigate and solve problems with a hands-on, pragmatic approach.
Requirements:
- Proficient in creating C++ production code; Python experience is preferable.
- Commitment to code quality, taking responsibility for contributions.
- Enjoy solving problems with lean and efficient code.
- Results-driven and practical attitude.
- Strong communication skills, explaining technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
- Desire to work in a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with traders and researchers.
