VP Retirement Services
Position Summary
The Vice President of Retirement Services is responsible for the strategic growth, administration, client service, and operational oversight of the Pooled Employer Plan (PEP). This executive leadership role will drive retirement plan sales, client retention, fiduciary oversight, compliance, and service delivery while collaborating with internal teams, advisors, recordkeepers, and participating employers. The VP will serve as a subject matter expert on retirement plan solutions and help position company as a leading retirement benefits provider.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the growth and expansion of the Pooled Employer Plan.
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives to increase employer participation and plan assets.
- Build and maintain relationships with employers, brokers, consultants, advisors, and service providers.
- Oversee retirement plan operations, participant services, and client support functions.
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, Department of Labor (DOL), IRS regulations, and fiduciary requirements.
- Monitor plan performance, fees, investments, and service provider relationships.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop retirement plan solutions and educational programs.
- Provide leadership for retirement plan enrollment, education, and participant engagement initiatives.
- Support plan sponsors with governance, fiduciary best practices, and retirement plan strategy.
- Prepare executive reports, growth projections, and operational metrics for senior leadership.
Preferred Experience
- 10+ years of experience in retirement plan administration, retirement consulting, recordkeeping, wealth management, or employee benefits.
- 5+ years in a senior leadership or management role.
- Demonstrated experience with 401(k), 403(b), Multiple Employer Plans (MEPs), or Pooled Employer Plans (PEPs).
- Strong understanding of ERISA, fiduciary responsibilities, retirement plan compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience working with TPAs, recordkeepers, investment advisors, custodians, and retirement plan service providers.
- Proven success in business development, client relationship management, and revenue growth.
- Experience presenting to executive leadership, boards, employers, and industry partners.

- Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA)
- Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA)
- Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®)
- Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA®)
- Certified Retirement Services Professional (CRSP)
- Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist (CRPS®)
- Series 6, 7, or 65 licenses (preferred if involved in investment-related activities)
- Life and Health Insurance License (preferred)
- MBA, Finance, Business Administration, or related advanced degree (preferred)
Education
Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, Economics, Employee Benefits, Human Resources, or a related field required. Advanced degree preferred.
