VP of Investments
Position Overview
Our client is seeking a strategic and results-driven Vice President of Investments to lead and expand their real estate investment portfolio across office, retail, multifamily, and industrial property types. Based in Raleigh, NC, this executive will play a critical role in sourcing, underwriting, structuring, and executing investment opportunities, while also managing existing assets to maximize returns.
Key Responsibilities
Investment Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement investment strategies aligned with company goals and market trends.
- Source and evaluate new acquisition opportunities across target property types.
- Lead due diligence, financial modeling, and risk analysis for potential investments.
- Negotiate deal terms and manage transaction processes from LOI to closing.
Portfolio Management
- Oversee performance of existing assets, identifying opportunities for value creation.
- Collaborate with asset management and leasing teams to optimize NOI and asset value.
- Monitor market dynamics and adjust portfolio strategy accordingly.
Market Intelligence & Networking
- Build and maintain relationships with brokers, developers, lenders, and institutional partners.
- Stay abreast of local and national market trends, regulatory changes, and economic indicators.
- Represent the firm at industry events and conferences.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Mentor junior investment professionals and analysts.
- Work cross-functionally with finance, legal, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Report directly to executive leadership with regular updates on investment performance and pipeline.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in real estate investment, with a strong track record across office, retail, multifamily, and industrial sectors.
- Deep understanding of real estate financial modeling, valuation, and capital markets.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to source and close deals independently.
- Familiarity with the Raleigh-Durham market is highly desirable.
