Vice President - Quantitative Trade Strategist

The business is making a significant investment in this team, as they are keen to expand with experienced quants that are excited about leveraging tech to build high quality anomaly detection models. It is essential that the candidate brings strong market expertise, ideally across asset classes, to enable direct collaboration with key stakeholders at the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate cross functionally with global teams to design, develop, and maintain quantitative models and algorithms to detect suspicious trading behavior
  • Run simulations to assist in detecting fraudulent trading activity
  • Conduct machine learning projects with a high degree of scale and complexity
  • Collaborate with strategic partners to stay current with industry trends and analytics standards
  • Apply large scale structure and unstructured data to machine learning projects

Job Requirements:

  • PhD or master's degree in a quantitative field (Ex. mathematics, statistics, physics, engineering, or computer science)
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in pricing, modelling, and risk management of financial products across various asset classes and trading platforms
  • Proficiency in mathematical modelling, numerical algorithms, and quantitative analysis
  • Understanding of automated trading execution protocols
  • Prior experience with machine learning systems
  • Proficient programming skills in languages such as Python and Java
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
