Vice President, Private Credit
A growing private credit investment platform is seeking a Vice President to join its New York-based team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in a lean, entrepreneurial environment with significant responsibility, direct exposure to senior decision-makers, and the ability to influence investment outcomes from day one.
The firm focuses on providing flexible capital solutions to lower middle market businesses across the U.S., investing through a variety of structures including unitranche, second lien, mezzanine, preferred equity, and equity co-investments. Investments span sponsored, independent sponsor-backed, and non-sponsored companies across a broad range of industries.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the evaluation, underwriting, and execution of new investment opportunities from initial screening through closing
- Build detailed financial models and conduct comprehensive due diligence
- Structure and negotiate debt and equity investments
- Present investment recommendations to senior leadership and investment committees
- Monitor portfolio company performance, financial results, and covenant compliance
- Lead portfolio transactions including amendments, waivers, refinancings, add-on financings, and recapitalizations
- Work directly with management teams, sponsors, advisors, and financing partners
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of lower middle market private credit or direct lending experience
- Proven track record underwriting and executing debt investments
- Strong financial modeling, credit analysis, and investment writing skills
- Experience evaluating companies in the $3M-$15M EBITDA range preferred
- Ability to operate independently in a lean, collaborative environment
- Strong communication and relationship management skills
