Vice President of Asset Liability Management
A top-tier Life & Annuity insurer is seeking a strategic and technically strong Vice President of ALM to lead enterprise-wide ALM strategy and execution. This high-impact, fully remote position offers an excellent opportunity for an executive-level actuary or investment professional with deep expertise in asset-liability management, insurance product dynamics, and capital optimization.
You'll work cross-functionally with actuarial, investment, finance, and risk teams to ensure that asset strategies are well-aligned with liabilities, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements. This is a key leadership role with visibility at the highest levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead ALM strategy, policy development, and execution across all product lines
Oversee modeling of asset and liability cash flows and duration matching
Collaborate with Investments and Actuarial teams to manage interest rate risk, reinvestment strategies, and hedging programs
Analyze capital efficiency and support strategic initiatives including M&A, reinsurance, and new product development
Serve as a subject matter expert to senior leadership and regulatory stakeholders
Manage and mentor a team of ALM and actuarial professionals
Qualifications:
10+ years of relevant experience in ALM, actuarial, or investment functions within life insurance or reinsurance
FSA or CFA designation strongly preferred
Deep understanding of life and annuity products, insurance accounting, and investment principles
Proven leadership in cross-functional environments with strong communication skills
Expertise in ALM modeling tools and risk frameworks
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
