Vice President of Asset Liability Management

A top-tier Life & Annuity insurer is seeking a strategic and technically strong Vice President of ALM to lead enterprise-wide ALM strategy and execution. This high-impact, fully remote position offers an excellent opportunity for an executive-level actuary or investment professional with deep expertise in asset-liability management, insurance product dynamics, and capital optimization.

You'll work cross-functionally with actuarial, investment, finance, and risk teams to ensure that asset strategies are well-aligned with liabilities, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements. This is a key leadership role with visibility at the highest levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead ALM strategy, policy development, and execution across all product lines

  • Oversee modeling of asset and liability cash flows and duration matching

  • Collaborate with Investments and Actuarial teams to manage interest rate risk, reinvestment strategies, and hedging programs

  • Analyze capital efficiency and support strategic initiatives including M&A, reinsurance, and new product development

  • Serve as a subject matter expert to senior leadership and regulatory stakeholders

  • Manage and mentor a team of ALM and actuarial professionals

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in ALM, actuarial, or investment functions within life insurance or reinsurance

  • FSA or CFA designation strongly preferred

  • Deep understanding of life and annuity products, insurance accounting, and investment principles

  • Proven leadership in cross-functional environments with strong communication skills

  • Expertise in ALM modeling tools and risk frameworks

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
