Role Overview

The Vice President of Cyber will be responsible for leading the development and execution of underwriting strategy for the Cyber Tech E&O portfolio. This role combines technical underwriting expertise with strategic leadership, market engagement, and operational oversight. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping product offerings, mentoring talent, and building broker relationships across key markets.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Designing and executing underwriting strategy for Cyber Tech E&O, ensuring alignment with profitability and growth targets.
  • Leading a team of underwriters, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Evaluating and pricing complex risks, negotiating terms, and ensuring alignment with the company's risk appetite.
  • Drafting and refining policy language and endorsements to meet evolving client needs.
  • Building and expanding broker relationships, with a focus on both U.S. and international distribution channels.
  • Representing the company at industry events and contributing thought leadership in the Cyber insurance space.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to support cross-sell initiatives and portfolio optimization.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal underwriting standards.
  • Supporting strategic planning through data-driven portfolio analysis and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience in Cyber underwriting or broking, with a strong emphasis on Tech E&O.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, computer science, cyber security, or actuarial science.
  • Strong broker relationships across U.S. and UK markets.
  • Recognized as a thought leader in the Cyber insurance community.
  • Demonstrated experience in policy wording and endorsement drafting.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.
  • Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Mac OS is a plus.
