Tech Enabled L/S Equity Analyst
We are currently representing a Singapore‑based multi‑family office, who are partnering with a key client to build a next‑generation, AI‑enabled global research function.
They are looking for someone to work directly with the Principal and Managing Partner, with a mandate to modernise the research stack and broaden the universe beyond current areas of concentration.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a high‑frequency pulse on a ~100‑name universe. You will be expected to surface material developments from filings, earnings calls, and industry news, producing sell thesis recommendations when fundamental drivers or valuations no longer align with our mandate.
- Combine traditional screening with AI‑driven workflows to surface variant‑perception ideas across sectors and geographies.
- Produce bottom‑up investment memos with clear theses, risks, and catalysts for portfolio inclusion.
- Design and refine a proprietary research "stack" using LLMs and automation tools to monitor filings, earnings, and news at scale; recommend and implement tools needed to optimize the process.
- Deliver tightly‑scoped research for a single‑client portfolio while collaborating with the Managing Partner.
Requirements
- 3-6 years of experience, must be on the buyside covering L/S Equity, with a global generalist mindset.
- AI power‑user orientation to leverage LLMs, and no-code/low-code tools to automate data extraction and monitoring.
- Basic Coding Skills in Python and/or SQL a plus.
- Excellent academics with a degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or similar. CFA candidacy is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to synthesise complex financial analysis into clear arguments.
- Comfortable with outlining your AI stack/infrastructure in applications.
- Comfortable operating in a lean, entrepreneurial setup.
