Site Reliability Engineer
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team in Hong Kong. In this role, you will collaborate with engineers, developers, and trade support teams to ensure the reliability and performance of cutting-edge financial trading applications. This permanent position offers the opportunity to work on world-class systems, create automation solutions, and evolve infrastructure to deliver maximum efficiency and security.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of applications.
- Automate repetitive tasks and resolve systematic issues.
- Provide engineering solutions based on root cause analysis.
- Own incident management, debugging, and resolution.
- Collaborate with app engineers to take new applications to production readiness.
- Evolve infrastructure stacks for improved efficiency, reliability, and security.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals including algorithms and distributed systems.
- Proficiency in at least one modern structured programming language.
- Experience with software development tools like CI/CD pipelines, source control, and containers.
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking, cloud platforms (preferably GCP), LAN/WAN networks, and Linux networking.
Skills
- SRE Mindset: Passionate about automation with a growth-focused approach.
- SQL & Database Expertise: Strong advantage for managing data effectively.
- Scripting or Automation Experience: Knowledge of Python or Go is a plus.
- Troubleshooting & Communication: Exceptional problem-solving abilities supported by excellent verbal and written communication skills.
