Senior Treasury Expert
Our client is a global Energy Company, they are headquartered in Qatar and are looking for a Senior Treasury Expert to join their team. This person would ideally be based in the Middle East already, if there is any relocation required it will be fully supported.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Treasury Operations
- Develop and maintain short- and long-term cash flow forecasts to support strategic and operational planning.
- Manage daily liquidity and cash positions to ensure sufficient funding for business needs.
- Oversee fund utilization to minimize external borrowing and optimize internal cash deployment.
- Design risk management policies and procedures to mitigate financial risks including currency, interest rate and credit risks, planning for regular assessment and strategy adaptation.
- Monitor bank accounts and ensure timely execution of payments and collections.
2. Automation & Process Improvement
- Lead initiatives to automate treasury processes, including collection channels and payment systems.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control.
3. Strategic & Financial Planning
- Translate divisional strategies into actionable treasury plans aligned with broader business objectives.
- Contribute to the development of financial strategies and participate in strategic decision-making.
4. Bugeting & Performance Monitoring
- Prepare and manage the treasury budget; monitor actual performance against targets.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial outcomes.
5. Leadership & People Development
- Lead and develop a high-performing treasury team through goal setting, coaching, and performance management.
- Drive talent development initiatives to ensure the team's capabilities align with business needs.
6. Policy & Compliance
- Develop and enforce treasury policies, procedures, and controls in line with regulatory and corporate standards.
- Ensure all treasury activities are compliant with internal policies and external regulations.
7. Reporting & Documentation
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of treasury reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support audits and regulatory reviews with appropriate documentation and analysis.
