Senior Quantitative Researcher
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantitative Researcher with a strong background in mid-frequency trading strategies to join a Tier 1 hedge fund in London or Paris in a unique hybrid capacity. This role combines hands-on quantitative research with mentorship and advisory responsibilities, making it ideal for someone passionate about both academia and practical market applications.
You will contribute to the development and enhancement of systematic trading strategies while guiding and mentoring junior researchers. This position offers flexibility and intellectual engagement, bridging the gap between cutting-edge academic research and real-world trading.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, design, and refine mid-frequency trading strategies across multiple asset classes.
- Apply advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to large datasets for alpha generation.
- Collaborate with the research team to integrate academic insights into production-ready models.
- Serve as a mentor and advisor to junior quants, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in quantitative research or systematic trading, with a focus on mid-frequency strategies.
- Advanced degree (PhD) in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Deep understanding of factor strategies or portfolio construction.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for mentoring and knowledge sharing.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in a hedge fund or proprietary trading environment.
- Published academic research or active involvement in academic circles.
