Senior Compliance Officer
We are currently supporting an international AIFM in Luxembourg in their search for a Regulatory Compliance Officer with a strong background in fund compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with 6+ years of experience in the funds industry, looking to join a well-established and forward-thinking firm.
The role focuses on regulatory compliance and governance, with no AML responsibilities. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining the firm's compliance framework and ensuring adherence to applicable EU and Luxembourg regulations, particularly under AIFMD and CSSF guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance the firm's Compliance Monitoring Programme.
- Track and interpret regulatory developments (e.g., AIFMD, SFDR, MiFID II) and assess their impact on business operations.
- Draft, review, and update internal compliance policies and procedures.
- Prepare and coordinate regulatory filings and notifications (e.g., CSSF e-Desk submissions).
- Maintain registers related to compliance breaches, conflicts of interest, and complaints.
- Support the Conducting Officers and senior management with governance and regulatory matters.
- Assist in the preparation for internal audits and regulatory inspections.
- Deliver compliance training and promote awareness across the organization.
- Provide compliance input on new fund launches, cross-border distribution, and investor disclosures.
Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in regulatory compliance within the funds/asset management industry, ideally within an AIFM or UCITS ManCo.
- Strong understanding of Luxembourg and EU regulatory frameworks, including AIFMD, CSSF Circulars, and fund governance.
- Degree in Law, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English; additional languages (e.g., French or German) are a plus.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently.
