A European financial services group with a strong presence across Europe is seeking a senior-level business development professional to lead the expansion of its asset management division. The firm is particularly focused on fixed income and credit strategies, offering a range of actively managed funds and bespoke investment vehicles.

Role Overview:

The client is looking to strengthen its asset management capabilities by hiring a commercially driven individual with a deep understanding of institutional investor needs and a proven track record in raising assets. The role will focus on promoting the firm's fixed income and credit strategies, including relative value, hybrid credit, and CLO-focused funds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive business development efforts across key European and international markets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with institutional investors, family offices, and private banks.
  • Promote a suite of fixed income and credit-focused strategies, including UCITS and RAIF structures.
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers and product specialists to deliver tailored investment solutions.
  • Represent the firm at industry events and investor meetings to enhance visibility and engagement.
  • Provide market intelligence and feedback to inform product development and strategic planning.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • At least 10 years of experience in asset management, institutional sales, or investment banking, with a focus on fixed income and credit markets.
  • Demonstrated success in raising capital from institutional clients and family offices.
  • Strong understanding of structured credit, CLOs, and alternative fixed income strategies.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and deliver results.
  • Fluency in English; additional European languages are advantageous.
