Position Summary:

The Senior Associate, Asset Management will be responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of IT hardware and software assets across the organization. This role includes managing the asset lifecycle, ensuring compliance with vendor contracts, maintaining accurate records in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), and leading a small team of asset analysts. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in IT asset management, vendor relations, and IT service management tools.

Key Responsibilities:

Asset Management:

  • Oversee daily and long-term management of IT hardware and software assets.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance of software licenses and hardware assets with vendor contracts.
  • Maintain and improve asset tracking strategies using the CMDB.
  • Conduct audits and verifications of asset records and initiate corrective actions as needed.
  • Lead and mentor a small team of asset analysts.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for asset and configuration management processes.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to analyze asset performance trends.
  • Support other IT Service Management (ITSM) processes as needed.

Asset Lease Program:

  • Manage the global PC hardware refresh program and coordinate timely asset returns to leasing vendors.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and coordinate with procurement and finance on lease orders.
  • Administer corporate mobile device accounts, including service line management and vendor meetings.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in IT asset management roles.
  • Strong experience with CMDB systems and ITSM tools, particularly ServiceNow.
  • Proven success in implementing strategic asset management processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of software licensing agreements, especially Microsoft.
  • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • IAITAM certifications (e.g., CHAMP, CSAM, CITAM) preferred.
  • Excellent multitasking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
