Title: Annuity Business Systems & QA Analyst
Location: Des Moines, IA or Hartford, CT
Compensation: 95,000-135,000
Company Overview
A leading annuity provider is seeking an Annuity Business Systems & QA Analyst to support the growth and enhancement of its electronic business capabilities and distribution platforms. This individual will work closely with operations, sales, TPAs, industry partners, and vendors to improve automation, strengthen system integrations, and support scalable business processes. The role offers a blend of business analysis, platform implementation, and quality assurance responsibilities within the annuity space.
Key Responsibilities
Annuity Platform & Automation Support
- Support the development and implementation of industry-standard distribution automation solutions
- Partner with operations teams, TPAs, and external vendors to enhance electronic business capabilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert on annuity-related B2B services and integrations
- Evaluate business needs and recommend scalable process improvements
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate across business and technology teams to support strategic initiatives
- Lead and participate in cross-functional projects involving internal stakeholders and external partners
- Conduct impact assessments and support implementation efforts for new capabilities and enhancements
Quality Assurance & Testing
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and testing documentation
- Perform functional, system, integration, regression, and smoke testing across annuity platforms
- Review business requirements and user stories to ensure complete test coverage
- Document defects, analyze results, and partner with stakeholders to drive issue resolution
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience within the annuity insurance industry
- Experience supporting annuity operations, business systems, technology, or related functions
- Working knowledge of annuity products and distribution processes
- Experience with industry technologies such as DTCC, ACORD, and IRI
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and software testing best practices
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with internal teams, TPAs, and external partners
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with platforms such as AN4, Affirm, FireLight, FIDx, LUMA, or iCapital
- Background supporting electronic order entry, data integrations, or distribution automation initiatives
- Prior experience in quality assurance, user acceptance testing, or business analysis within annuities
