Position Summary: Director
The Director will serve as a leader responsible for managing client engagements, leading project teams, and developing both client relationships and new business opportunities. This individual will be a key contributor to the firm's continued growth, demonstrating both technical excellence and leadership presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Engagement Leadership: Lead most aspects of client engagements, from assessment through execution, across turnaround, restructuring, and financial advisory assignments.
- Team Management: Direct and mentor junior team members; delegate effectively while providing coaching and professional development.
- Client Interaction: Serve as a primary client contact, managing communications, expectations, and deliverables with precision and integrity.
- Business Development: Generate new client opportunities through an existing professional network and strong market presence. Support firmwide business development initiatives, marketing, and relationship-building efforts.
- Analytical & Financial Oversight: Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, cash flow forecasts, operational assessments, and restructuring plans.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with partners and senior leadership to develop strategies and execute complex engagements in a team-oriented environment.
- Thought Leadership: Contribute to the firm's market visibility through industry events, presentations, and thought leadership activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA, CPA, CFA, or CIRA designation preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in turnaround management, restructuring, investment banking, or financial advisory.
- Proven ability to lead and develop engagement teams and manage client relationships.
- Experience overseeing workstreams while guiding and supporting junior team members.
- Demonstrated success in generating or supporting new business opportunities.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills are essential.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills-both written and verbal- with the ability to communicate with all organization levels.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
Compensation: $160,000 - $185,000
Location: Morristown, NJ
