Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a risk management system focused on equity long-short strategies.
- Create and manage quantitative tools and processes for firmwide risk management.
- Conduct research and development on quantitative analytics and strategies.
- Collaborate with technology teams to test and implement production systems.
- Work with other departments to develop interactive data visualization tools, ensuring proper data sourcing, processing, and validation.
- Assist portfolio managers by explaining risk metrics and providing insights through risk tools.
- Develop reports and tools to support portfolio performance, risk management, and risk mitigation.
- Perform ad-hoc data analysis tasks to support investment and risk management processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, financial engineering, quantitative finance, or related disciplines.
- At least 2 years of experience in data analytics, investment risk, quantitative risk management, or software development, preferably in the finance industry on the buy-side.
- Familiarity with equity factor models, financial datasets, and entity data, including return/PnL calculation, risk metrics like volatility, Sharpe ratio, VaR, and derivative pricing.
- Proficient in data analytics and visualization using Python, C++, C#, etc.
- Strong understanding of mathematics, statistics, and probability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team.
- Ability to work independently with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness.
- Intellectually curious about quantitative risk management and statistical analysis.
- Strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
