Overview

A leading global financial institution is seeking a senior Product Manager to help drive the next phase of growth and innovation across its electronic trading platform ecosystem within Macro Markets. This individual will play a key role in shaping strategic technology initiatives across multiple asset classes, delivering sophisticated trading solutions in a highly dynamic and competitive environment.

The position offers significant visibility across the business and provides the opportunity to influence platform strategy, market expansion efforts, and the development of next-generation electronic trading capabilities.

Working closely with Trading, Quantitative Research, Technology, Operations, Risk, Legal, and Compliance teams, the successful candidate will help define and execute initiatives that support business growth, evolving client needs, and changing market structures.

The Team

The role sits within a centralized Electronic Trading organization that partners across fixed income and macro businesses to advance trading technology, improve execution outcomes, and identify opportunities created by shifts in market structure and liquidity dynamics.

The team works closely with exchanges, trading venues, market infrastructure providers, and technology partners to evaluate emerging trends, develop new trading capabilities, and enhance electronic execution workflows. The environment is entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and highly collaborative, requiring strong engagement across both business and technology stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and enhancement of electronic trading products across macro asset classes, including Rates, Financing Markets, and Commodities.
  • Define and execute product strategy in partnership with senior business leaders to support commercial and franchise objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for expansion into new markets, trading protocols, client workflows, and execution venues.
  • Monitor developments in electronic market structure, liquidity trends, and competitive dynamics to inform platform evolution.
  • Own product roadmaps for critical trading platform capabilities and drive prioritization of strategic initiatives.
  • Partner closely with Trading, Quantitative, Technology, and Operations teams to deliver scalable and high-performing solutions.
  • Evaluate external vendors, trading venues, and technology providers while contributing to strategic investment and partnership decisions.
  • Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate business needs into actionable development priorities.
  • Drive the rollout of new functionality from concept through deployment and post-launch optimization.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience; quantitative, financial, engineering, or technical disciplines are preferred.
  • Significant experience within electronic trading, product management, market structure, or trading technology environments.
  • Deep knowledge of two or more macro asset classes such as Rates, FX, Commodities, or broader Fixed Income products.
  • Strong understanding of electronic execution workflows, trading architecture, trade lifecycle management, and risk controls.
  • Familiarity with dealer-to-client and dealer-to-dealer trading models, liquidity venues, and electronic execution frameworks.
  • Proven ability to build consensus and influence stakeholders across front-office, technology, and control functions.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage complex initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience working closely with software engineering, quantitative research, and trading teams.
  • Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies and product development best practices is advantageous.
