We are working with a prestigious international hedge fund renowned for our astute investment strategies and remarkable performance in the global financial arena. As we embark on expanding our operations, we are establishing a new, dynamic team and are actively seeking a highly skilled Low-Mid Frequency Equity Researcher. Key Responsibilities

* Research and Analysis: Conduct comprehensive fundamental and technical research on a wide range of equities. Analyze company financial statements, industry trends, economic indicators, and market sentiment to evaluate investment opportunities. Identify potential risks and rewards associated with different stocks, and provide in-depth reports and recommendations to the investment team. Stay updated on the latest market news, regulatory changes, and technological advancements that may impact equity markets, and incorporate this information into your research.

* Modeling and Valuation: Develop and maintain financial models to assess the value of companies and forecast their future performance. Use various valuation techniques, such as discounted cash flow analysis, relative valuation, and comparable company analysis, to determine the fair value of stocks. Regularly update and refine these models based on new data and market developments. Collaborate with the quantitative research team to incorporate statistical and econometric models into your analysis, enhancing the accuracy and reliability of your investment recommendations.

* Portfolio Support: Work closely with portfolio managers to assist in portfolio construction and management. Provide insights and recommendations on asset allocation, sector exposure, and individual stock selection. Monitor the performance of the portfolio's equity holdings, and conduct periodic reviews to ensure they align with the fund's investment strategy and risk tolerance. Participate in investment meetings and discussions, presenting your research findings and contributing to the development of the fund's overall investment approach.

* Data Management: Source, clean, and organize financial data from various internal and external databases. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the data used in your research, and develop efficient data management processes to support your analysis. Collaborate with the data analytics team to explore new data sources and analytical tools, and leverage data-driven insights to enhance your research capabilities.

* Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other researchers, analysts, and traders within the firm. Share research findings, ideas, and best practices, and contribute to a collaborative and innovative research culture. Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives, and work closely with the marketing and client service teams to communicate investment ideas and research results to clients and prospects.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in equity research, preferably in a hedge fund, investment bank, asset management firm, or other financial institution. Proven track record of successfully identifying investment opportunities and contributing to portfolio performance. Experience in low-mid frequency equity research, with a deep understanding of market dynamics and trading strategies at these frequencies.

* Skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and draw meaningful conclusions. Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques, with experience using Excel, Bloomberg Terminal, and other financial analysis tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present research findings clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and modeling is a plus.

* Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of equity markets, including different sectors, industries, and investment styles. Understanding of fundamental and technical analysis principles, and the ability to apply these techniques to equity research. Knowledge of financial accounting, corporate finance, and investment theory. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance issues related to equity research and investment management.

* Education: A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, mathematics, statistics, or a related field. A master's degree in a relevant field, such as an MBA, Master of Finance, or Master of Economics, is highly preferred. Professional certifications such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst) are a plus.
