Private Equity Associate
Position Summary:
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Private Equity Associate to join our investment team. The Associate will play a key role in evaluating, executing, and managing private equity investments across a range of industries. This position offers significant exposure to senior leadership, portfolio companies, and the full investment lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Investment Analysis & Due Diligence
- Conduct financial modeling, valuation (DCF, LBO, comparable company analysis), and sensitivity analysis.
- Perform industry research, market sizing, and competitive landscape assessments.
- Support due diligence efforts including coordination with legal, accounting, and operational advisors.
Deal Execution
- Assist in the preparation of investment memos and presentations for the Investment Committee.
- Participate in deal structuring, negotiations, and documentation processes.
Portfolio Management
- Monitor portfolio company performance through financial reporting and KPI tracking.
- Support strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and value creation plans.
- Collaborate with management teams and board members on business planning and growth strategies.
Sourcing & Market Intelligence
- Identify and evaluate new investment opportunities through proactive sourcing and networking.
- Maintain relationships with investment banks, advisors, and industry experts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or CFA is a plus.
- 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, or private equity.
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude.
