Private Equity Associate
One of the most reputable private equity shops based in the heart of Atlanta, GA is looking to expand at the Associate level this summer. The team manages just shy of $2B in AUM and are currently investing out of their most recent fund. With plans to raise a new fund later this year, you would be joining one of the most active deal teams currently on the market. With senior leadership coming from top bucket backgrounds, this opportunity lends the Private Equity Associate incredible mentorship opportunities as well.
Private Equity Associate Responsibilities:
- Help drive all stages of the investment process, including sourcing, diligence, structuring, and portfolio management, with a focus on companies in the technology and software verticals.
- Collaborate closely with the senior leadership team members to analyze and execute transactions.
- Develop and maintain industry relationships to generate proprietary deal flow
- Help lead deal-related analysis, financial modeling, and presentations for investment committee review.
Private Equity Associate Qualifications:
- Top-tier college degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Accounting is preferred but not required
- 2-3 years of investment banking, financial services, or private equity experience (technology, software, business services experience preferred)
- Superior modeling, problem-solving, analytical, and research skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including ability to interact thoughtfully with portfolio company management teams
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and meet demanding deadlines
- Ties to the Southeast (specifically Atlanta)
