Our client, a respected and high-performing regional insurer in the Property and Casualty space, is seeking a Pricing Actuary to join its Corporate Actuarial team. This leadership role offers the opportunity to guide pricing strategy, manage a team of analysts, and collaborate across departments to support product development and profitability goals.
The company offers a flexible hybrid work model, requiring in-office presence eight days per month, with the remaining days open to remote or in-office work based on personal preference.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead pricing initiatives and manage the actuarial pricing team's workflow
- Deliver rate indications, impact assessments, and regulatory filing support
- Mentor and develop actuarial analysts and junior team members
- Maintain and refine pricing assumptions including trends, expenses, and profitability metrics
- Coordinate with product and regional teams to ensure pricing adequacy
- Oversee documentation and communication of pricing methodologies
Candidate Profile
- Associate-level designation with the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in P&C actuarial work
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Finance, or Economics
- Strong skills in SQL and Excel
- Familiarity with pricing and modeling tools such as Radar or Emblem is a plus
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
