Pricing Actuary - Advanced Modelling
Selby Jennings have partnered with a leading global insurer, currently seeking a skilled Pricing Actuary to join their Advanced Pricing Modelling team in London.
This is a unique opportunity for an analytically driven individual to contribute to the development of cutting-edge pricing models across a diverse commercial and specialty lines portfolio. The successful candidate will play a key role in building and maintaining advanced statistical modelling pipelines that underpin rating tools and support strategic underwriting decisions.
You'll work closely with product actuaries, underwriters, and data scientists, leveraging cutting-edge tools and platforms to deliver predictive modelling solutions. The role offers exposure to a wide range of portfolios and products, with a strong emphasis on innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain predictive models used to calibrate pricing tools.
- Deliver modelling projects using cloud-based platforms and specialized software.
- Support and train actuarial colleagues in advanced analytics techniques.
- Enhance and standardize scalable modelling processes across various product lines.
- Research and apply cutting-edge algorithmic techniques to improve modelling and data quality.
- Lead projects using Agile methodologies and uphold rigorous coding standards.
Role Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technical pricing, actuarial modelling, or predictive analytics.
- Proficiency in actuarial software and programming languages, i.e., R, Python, Emblem, Radar etc.
- Strong skills in SQL, Excel, and other data tools.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience working in Agile environments is a plus.
