A well-established actuarial consulting firm is seeking a detail-oriented and analytically minded Pension Actuarial Analyst to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity to build your career in a collaborative and flexible work environment serving multiemployer pension plan clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform actuarial valuations and data analysis under the guidance of experienced actuaries.
Analyze census data, liabilities, and assets to inform strategic planning and funding decisions.
Assist with projects addressing emerging retirement and benefit issues.
Maintain and enhance actuarial models and reporting tools.
Prepare reports and presentations to communicate actuarial findings.
Contribute to process improvement and internal knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Accounting, or a related field.
0-4 years of experience in an actuarial or pension-related role.
Exposure to defined benefit pension plans preferred; multiemployer plan experience is a plus.
Passed at least one actuarial exam.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Effective communicator in both written and verbal formats.
Self-starter who thrives in a team setting with the ability to work independently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of actuarial software such as ProVal is advantageous.
