The Opportunity

A leading international independent investment banking platform is seeking an entrepreneurial Managing Director to help expand its advisory presence across the Nordic region.

The successful candidate will bring deep sector expertise within Telecommunications Infrastructure, Digital Infrastructure, Communications Infrastructure, Industrials or related sectors, alongside a proven track record of originating and executing complex M&A and strategic advisory mandates. Demand across Europe remains particularly strong for senior bankers with Digital Infrastructure, Communications Infrastructure and Industrials expertise, driven by sustained investor appetite and continued sponsor activity.

This role is focused on senior-level origination and relationship management, with particular emphasis on developing and monetising relationships with large-cap and mid-market private equity investors, infrastructure funds, and strategic acquirers across the Nordic region and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

• Originate and execute M&A, strategic advisory and capital raising mandates across the Telecommunications Infrastructure, Digital Infrastructure or Industrials sectors.
• Develop and maintain senior relationships with private equity sponsors, infrastructure investors, family offices and corporate clients.
• Generate meaningful annual fee revenue through proactive business development and relationship-led origination.
• Lead transaction execution teams across complex domestic and cross-border assignments.
• Partner with colleagues across Europe and globally to deliver sector expertise and cross-border advisory opportunities.
• Identify emerging investment themes and strategic opportunities within the Nordic market.
• Mentor and develop junior bankers while contributing to the overall growth of the franchise.

Candidate Profile

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience as a Managing Director, Executive Director or Senior Director within investment banking or a leading advisory platform.
• Deep expertise in one of the following sectors:
  • Telecommunications Infrastructure
  • Communications Infrastructure
  • Digital Infrastructure
  • Industrials
  • Industrial Technology
  • Transportation & Logistics
• Demonstrable track record of originating and closing advisory mandates.
• Established relationships with large-cap and mid-market private equity firms, infrastructure funds and strategic buyers.
• Strong annual fee generation history with evidence of originating business independently.
• Experience leading complex cross-border M&A transactions.
• Existing network across the Nordic markets and broader European investment community.
