A leading investment management firm is seeking a Global Macro Research Analyst to join its macro strategy team. This team plays a key role in shaping top-down investment insights that inform asset allocation decisions across multiple asset classes.
We're looking for a curious, analytical thinker who thrives in both independent and collaborative environments. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in macroeconomics, a passion for data-driven research, and the ability to translate complex economic trends into actionable investment perspectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct empirical research using economic and financial data, including regression analysis, forecasting models, and back-testing.
- Develop tools and dashboards to monitor global macroeconomic trends.
- Identify and analyze macro themes using both quantitative and qualitative methods.
- Stay current on global economic developments, central bank communications, and market research.
- Present findings and strategic insights to investment professionals across the firm.
Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of experience in macroeconomic research, preferably within the financial sector.
- Strong understanding of global macroeconomics, including business cycles, monetary/fiscal policy, and international capital flows.
- Proficiency in applied statistics and econometrics.
- Familiarity with data platforms such as Bloomberg and Refinitiv (Datastream).
- Programming skills (e.g., Python, R, EViews) are a plus.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
