About the Role
A leading global hedge fund focused on quantitative and systematic strategies is looking for a Software Engineer to support its machine learning platform. The firm applies a highly data-centric and scientific approach, integrating advanced research, engineering, and trading capabilities to build scalable machine learning solutions. In this role, you will play a key part in transforming machine learning research outputs into resilient, production-ready systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with researchers and machine learning engineers to convert experimental models into reliable production services and pipelines.
- Design and own end-to-end workflows spanning data ingestion, feature engineering, training, inference, and internal tools.
- Improve automation for packaging, configuration, and reproducibility, supporting machine learning workflows at scale.
- Build and maintain CI/CD processes to ensure strong testing, code quality, and efficient release cycles.
- Deploy and operate systems using containerization and orchestration technologies, ensuring stability and performance.
- Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting capabilities to maintain high availability of machine learning services.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong Python production grade skills with a solid grounding in software engineering fundamentals.
- Experience building and supporting production-grade systems and integrations.
- Familiarity with cloud ecosystems (e.g., AWS, GCP) and distributed infrastructure.
- Understanding of networking, security, and system architecture principles.
- Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience supporting machine learning systems in production environments.
- Knowledge of databases and data pipeline design.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
