Role Overview:
As a Principal C++ Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing and optimizing ultra-low-latency trading platforms. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will own critical components, mentor other engineers, and collaborate with traders and researchers to deliver next-generation solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and lead development of high-performance C++ systems for real-time trading.
- Drive latency reduction initiatives across the entire technology stack.
- Profile, benchmark, and optimize code for sub-microsecond performance.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to exploit CPU architecture, cache optimization, and kernel bypass techniques.
- Ensure system resilience and fault tolerance under extreme market conditions.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, setting best practices for performance-critical code.
What We're Looking For:
- 10+ years of experience in C++ development with a focus on low-latency systems.
- Deep expertise in Modern C++ (C++17/20), multithreading, and lock-free programming.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, kernel bypass (DPDK, RDMA), and hardware-aware optimizations.
- Experience with Linux performance tuning, NUMA, and real-time systems.
- Proven track record of building ultra-low-latency trading platforms or similar mission-critical systems.
- Ability to lead technical projects and mentor engineering teams.
